ABOUT GRIT
GRIT is a men's group built on four principles: Gather. Reflect. Improve. Talk.
We exist to give men a space where they can talk honestly about life without judgement, pressure or ego.
We talk about what men really face: mental health, purpose, work pressure, relationships, fatherhood, identity, setbacks, discipline and growth.
There is no forced advice and no judgement. Advice is only given if a man asks for it. GRIT is about men supporting each other and becoming stronger together.
SILENCE ISN’T STRENGTH. SPEAKING UP IS.
No Man Left Behind
Our Story
We all know a man like it.
The one who seems strong.
The one everyone relies on.
The one who always says he’s “fine”.
But sometimes behind that strength, there’s a lot going on.
Loss.
Pressure.
Work stress.
Family responsibilities.
Life struggles that men often keep to themselves.
That’s why GRIT exists.
My Story
GRIT came from a difficult period in my own life.
After losing a close family member, I lost my direction for a while. Like many men, I tried to bury it and keep going. I coped through eating, drinking and pretending everything was under control.
But the pressure was building.
Work days were long, life was stressful, and trying to always appear strong became exhausting. There were moments where I genuinely questioned how much longer I could carry on like that.
That period forced me to reflect and rebuild.
Since then I’ve lost five stone, changed career direction and focused on becoming mentally and physically stronger.
Along the way I also found Jesus. Faith became part of my journey, but GRIT isn’t a religious group and I’m not here to preach. Every man walks his own path.
If sharing my story helps another man realise he’s not alone, then it’s worth it.
A Simple Belief
One thing GRIT stands by is this: Silence isn’t strength.
Strength is facing what you’re going through and having the courage to talk about it. Because no man should feel like he has to fight everything on his own.
